In Mexico there are places that are characterized by having these elements and for the bravest it is a challenge to visit them. Here are the creepiest places in the country. Hyena House, Querétaro

The house marked with number 408 on Hacienda del Vegil street in the Jardines de la Hacienda neighborhood, in the city of Querétaro, witnessed one of the most shocking cases in the city since there Claudia Mijangos Arzac, a former queen of beauty after suffering a divorce with her then partner Alfredo Castellanos Gutiérrez, which led to deep depression and episodes of aggressiveness and schizophrenia, killing her three children; Ana Belén, Alfredo and Claudia María in cold blood, assuring that angels and demons asked them, and later they tried to commit suicide without success, which gave them the nickname La Hiena de Querétaro.

Today the house where the events occurred is considered demonic by the residents as they claim to hear cries and screams of children for what is considered one of the most terrifying places in the country.

Island of the Dolls Xochimilco

In Mexico City, in the channels of Xochimilco, there is a small island that is distinguished by its unusual decoration, with hundreds of dismembered dolls, without limbs and dirty that hang from the trees and in the middle of it a house. Legend has it that it had its sole owner for more than 25 years, in the 1950s, Juan Santana, who on one occasion found a drowned girl on the banks of the channels, entangled in the lilies of the channel, who could not do anything. to save her. Shortly after, the man began to experience dreams at night where the ghost of the girl appeared, as well as screams and moans around the island.

As the days went by, Santana found a doll on the shore where the girl died, so he decided that to protect his house, place dolls that he found in the garbage all over the island until he gathered more than 1500 figures, in order to protect him. and your home.

This island with its macabre aspect and full of fear and suspense, you can know it if you request a tour of the Trajineras of Xochimilco that also includes visits to different ecological areas of the place.

Pantheon of Bethlehem Guadalajara

The Mythical Pantheon of Belén or Santa Paula, located in the city of Guadalajara Jalisco, houses tombs with incredible architectural styles worthy of admiration during the day, but at night this place becomes a dark place full of mysticism due to their stories and legends that they tell there. One of the most famous is that of little Ignacio Torres Altamirano, or as everyone knew him, “Nachito”.

Legend has it that the minor born in a middle-class family bosom was very special because he had a fear of the dark and closed places, so his parents always slept him with the light on and doors open. Unfortunately the child died at 5 years of age and was buried in the pantheon of Bethlehem. Shortly after his death, a strange phenomenon occurred. The cemetery watchman found Nachito’s body on top of his grave, without understanding what happened, he placed it back inside his grave. This event was repeated every night for the next 10 days for which his parents and the authorities decided to leave the coffin with the body of the minor outside the grave to avoid the darkness of which he feared so much and he could rest in peace.

This legend has passed from generation to generation and today the tomb of Nachito is always illuminated by a candle and in addition to toys that visitors give him.

Misnebalam, Yucatan

You like the Ghost Towns, Misnebalam is one of them, located in the state of Yucatán 40 minutes from the center of Mérida, this town is currently abandoned and its fame dates back to the crime of one of the most important men of that time, Don Francisco G. Márquez, at the hands of murderers, would start paranormal situations, screams, voices and appearances.

The story is also told of a boy named “Juliancito”, raped by a farm laborer when he was playing with a ball of yarn and who later took his own life by hanging from a tree. At night he tormented the villagers with laughter, apparitions and with special emphasis on the tree where the tragedy occurred.

Its population was estimated at 170 people and it was being abandoned over time, frightened by the events that occurred there. It currently looks deserted but despite that it continues to receive visits inspired by the mystery and fear that is breathed there.

The House of Witches, CDMX

The House of the Witches is a building with a unique architecture that inspires fear and mystery. Located in Mexico City and built by Engineer RA Pigeon in the 20th century, it houses the legend of “La Panchita”, a woman named Bárbara Guerrero dedicated to witchcraft, rituals and evil and demonic spells, to which figures attended.
